We are celebrating the 21st year of the functioning of IAP Drug Formulary this year.
The IAP Drug Formulary was conceived in 2004 and was first released at the 42nd National Conference of the Indian Academy of Pediatrics, held at Kolkata in January 2005 – PEDICON 2005. Since then, we have released 6 Editions of the textbook, 7 Editions of the Pocket Dose Book, this the 79th Web Update - 2026(1), have made the mobile app of the IAP DF in both android and iOS (iPhone, iPad) platforms very user friendly and have been maintaining international standards as one of the 2 exclusively pediatric drug formularies in the world.
The IAP DF, has the unique distinction of being the only pediatric formulary to provide regular quarterly web updates over the last 21 years.
To celebrate these achievements, there is a call for increasing outreach programs to increase visibility of all products of IAP Pediatric Drug Formulary throughout India and abroad and for this purpose, IAP DF proudly presented, in its 20th year, the addition of an Institutional Login at an inaugural offer, for the 1st 2 years, of Rs 3000/- for 10 yrs.
We realised that in many hospitals, RMOs, duty doctors, nursing staff, non pediatric specialists, junior pediatricians and pediatricians need to have a ready reckoner for checking pediatric doses and the institutional login to the IAP DF could solve this issue. Kindly make use of this facility and make it known to all staff in the hospital to ensure evidence based pediatric therapeutics,
We offer 1 free mobile app key for all IAP members.
The IAP Drug Formulary Institutional login and all other products of the formulary may be bought either by paying online at our website www.iapdrugformulary.com or by sending a DD in favour of IAP Drug Formulary' payable at Kochi (for Indian buyers only) to our IAP Drug Formulary office at Cochin (address given on purchase or contact us page on the website) - online purchase is preferred.
The Formulary contains information, which, to the best of our knowledge, is accurate and up-to-date. But every practitioner must, as we have always insisted, take individual responsibility for taking all precautions when dispensing and administering drugs to children. We are looking forward to comments and criticism regarding the update.
We are available to answer queries regarding use of medications in children and for any assistance regarding the installation of our app/desktop version, etc.
Wishing all users a Happy New Year and great year of learning.
