Dr S S Kamath - IAP President 2015
I am extremely proud and overjoyed to contribute to this very useful publication of - The IAP Pediatric Drug Formulary - the flagship project of IAP CMIC. All products of The IAP Drug Formulary have been highly appreciated by all its users - pediatricians and other medical professionals in India and abroad. More than 7000 users have benefited from the quarterly web updates. This continues to be the only Drug Formulary in the world that provides quarterly web updates free of cost to its users. The drug formulary has bought laurels name and fame not only to CMIC but for the entire IAP.
The 4th hard copy edition of the IAP Drug Formulary - IAP Drug Formulary 2015 (released in January this year at New Delhi Pedicon), the 'Pocket Dose Book of Medicines for Children and Adolescents' (latest 5thedition) and The Infectious Disease Update need to be available with all those practicing pediatrics at all times. The mobile app of the IAP DF that was launched 2 yrs ago year has been well received by pediatricians as it empowers them to be up-to-date at all times with pediatric therapeutics at the click of a button. A prestigious module included in IAP Action Plan 2015 - aptly named APT IAP (Appropriate Pediatric Therapeutics) – is based on the purpose of the IAP Drug Formulary - namely - propagating rational and evidence based use of drugs in pediatrics.
I take this opportunity to congratulate Dr. Jeeson C Unni, Editor in Chief of this prestigious publication of IAP, and IAP CMIC for their dedication in executing the project and all sub-specialty chapters for contributing to the success of the Formulary.
I wish all the web updates for 2015, its online version, the immensely popular mobile apps and all publications of the IAP Drug Formulary - a resounding success.
